Positively impacting people's lives and lifting our community

Covid-19

Covid-19

Dear valued clients, partners and supporters,
We would like to recognise the significant impact coronavirus (COVID-19) is having on communities and people around the world. Our thoughts go out to those who have been directly affected by this crisis.
CASA follows the advice of the Australian and NSW governments on the appropriate steps to manage our activities during this period. Our administration team are working from home and we have cancelled all programs, which bring together people in our community.
  • Pilates
  • Keep On (Stay active)
  • Chilean Traditional Dance Group
  • Your Voice Your Key running by Woman in Action Group
However, CASA will continue with the Food Hampers Program, authorised by Fairfield City Council. We believe this service is essential for providing much-needed assistance to people in our community during this tough period. We have three volunteers doing an exceptional job in packing the food hampers while adhering to the Government’s advice on health and safety. They wear masks, gloves and keep the recommended distance from each other and individuals collecting hampers. CASA is committed to serving our community with the aim of becoming a positive force of change, assisting those who need it. We stay focused on keeping our mission in action.

CASA RECOMMENDS

If you are divorced or separated and you love your children, do not transfer them from one house to another, but call them every day.

If you love your grandparents do not visit them but call them every day and order their shopping online when they need it.

It’s easier to be at home than to get a respirator.
We’re in a situation that’s unlike anything we’ve faced before. It has never been more important to ensure all Australians are getting the information they need to protect themselves, their families and their communities from the coronavirus.
SBS is providing the latest news and information to communities about the coronavirus developments. News and information about COVID-19 is available in 63 languages, reaching the many Australians who speak a language other than English with vital public health information essential to saving lives during this pandemic.
